Censor Board Holds Up “Ladhei” Release Over Violent Scenes

The release of the much-awaited Odia film Ladhei has been delayed after the Censor Board reportedly withheld its certification, citing excessive violent content. The film has now been sent to the Mumbai regional office for further review and a final decision.

This development means Ladhei will not release on its previously announced date of October 17, as planned. The delay has come as a major disappointment to the film’s producer, director, and cast, who had been gearing up for the big release.

According to sources, producer Debashis Pattnaik and director Ashok Pati has scheduled to address a press conference in Bhubaneswar today morning on behalf of the production house to clarify the situation and share further details about the film’s new release plans.

The Odia film fraternity and fans are eagerly waiting for the board’s final verdict from Mumbai, which will determine when Ladhei can finally hit the screens.
