Premium Membership Refund Policy

Thank you for purchasing Premium Membership on Odisha Katha. We want you to be completely satisfied with our services.

No Refund Policy

Premium Membership payments are non-refundable under normal circumstances because:

  • Digital services are activated immediately upon payment
  • Premium benefits (profile featuring, priority placement) are applied instantly
  • We incur payment processing costs
  • You receive immediate access to premium features

Exceptions – When Refunds May Be Considered

We may consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

1. Technical Issues (Within 48 Hours)

  • If you experience technical problems preventing you from using premium features
  • If our platform is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours
  • Must be reported within 48 hours of purchase
  • Technical team must verify the issue

2. Duplicate Payments

  • If you accidentally made duplicate payments
  • Must provide payment proof
  • Refund processed within 7-10 business days

3. Fraudulent Transactions

  • If your payment was made without authorization
  • Must file a police complaint and provide FIR copy
  • Must provide payment gateway dispute proof

What is NOT Eligible for Refund

❌ Change of mind after purchase
❌ Not getting selected in auditions (we don’t guarantee job placement)
❌ Low profile views (depends on market demand)
❌ Dissatisfaction with premium features
❌ Account suspension due to Terms violation
❌ Partial refunds (membership is annual)

How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under exceptional circumstances:

  2. Subject: Refund Request – Premium Membership
  3. Include:
    • Your registered email
    • Payment transaction ID
    • Reason for refund request
    • Supporting documents (if applicable)
    • Date of purchase

Refund Processing

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 7 business days
  • If approved, refund is processed within 10-15 business days
  • Refund will be credited to the original payment method
  • Payment gateway charges are non-refundable

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your premium membership anytime, but:

  • No refund will be provided for unused period
  • Premium benefits remain active until expiry date
  • Account will revert to free membership after expiry
  • No auto-renewal – one-time payment only

Chargebacks

Important: If you file a chargeback with your bank/payment provider without contacting us first:

  • Your account will be suspended immediately
